I hope you all had a Merry Christmas–we’re still experiencing the good cheer with family in town. It’s been a busy holiday season but I wanted to take a moment and thank you for your generosity during this last year.
I am amazed, humbled, and grateful for what God has done through your generosity to The Church @ Clayton Crossings in 2016. We’ve seen children, students, and adults come to faith in Jesus (that deserves an out loud “woo hoo” no matter where you are!). We partnered with new churches in Boston, a few towns in North Carolina, and all over Cuba–every one has helped children, students, and adults find and follow Jesus, too (yep, time for another “woo hoo”). I’ll highlight individual ministry successes on Sunday, but suffice it to say we’ve experienced God’s favor and blessing this year.
As good as 2016 has been, I’m even more excited for the greater things God has planned for us in 2017 and I’m convinced that we’re just getting started! I’ve been leading our staff and elders to pray bigger and more desperate prayers for the coming year.
It’s funny how I have no trouble imagining big things in God’s Kingdom, but I tend to think a little too conservatively when it comes to His plans for The Church @ Clayton Crossings (hmm… does that mean I have small faith?). Since it’s natural and right for us to have a big view of God’s Kingdom, I’m going to ask us to work hard and give generously to expand God’s Kingdom through our church in 2017. Want an example? Next year, we’re going to help start and revitalize a few churches and launch a ministry training center. Exciting stuff, right? Like I said–we’re praying bigger and more desperate prayers for 2017.
I believe God wants to use our generosity to help answer some of those prayers and do greater things. Would you prayerfully consider contributing to God’s continuing work with a generous year-end donation? Your generosity will help us do whatever it takes to help people find and follow Jesus. There is no greater mission in the world!
Thank you for your generosity and partnership!

About John Sanders:
John Sanders is the non-stuffy pastor at The Church at Clayton Crossings. His primary mission is to help people find and follow Jesus. Additionally, he longs to write like the child of Aaron Sorkin and Dave Barry, preach like W.A. Criswell, look like Bradley Cooper, and eat like he’s seventeen years old.
