Mark Turner and his family have been at The Church @ Clayton Crossings since shortly after they moved to North Carolina from the Atlanta, Georgia area in 2009. Married since 1996, Mark and Iris, his wife, have two great kids: Bridgette and Georgia. They have a cat and a dog, Smokey and Bandit (yes, they did). The family has been joyfully active in the life of the church since they joined.
Mark served in the US Air Force – some time when you’re bored ask him why aircrews on the base called him and his coworkers “coneheads”-and then spent 23 years in the business world in Atlanta. From 2009 to 2016, he served a sizable Protestant church in the Triangle as church administrator.
Mark oversees adult discipleship, assimilation, church staff, and operations.
When he is not working or hanging out with his family, you’ll find Mark reading, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs (when they are watching a game, Iris, the Meredith grad, yells at the TV more than he does) or playing the guitar badly. Really badly.
If you ask Mark what life is all about, he’ll say, “Jesus is Lord – let’s all try to act like it.”
